Yesterday I brought you the gift ideas for the babies, today it’s time for the boys! However, just because it says boys, don’t overlook this if you have girls. Most of these items are aimed at either gender and those that are specifically marketed for boys can be enjoyed by girls just as much. So please have a little mooch around! If your stuck for ideas I guarantee there will be something here to make your little ones face light up on Xmas morning!
The Robot Coin Counting Money Box by Find me a Gift, is a great little present. I think teaching children about the value of money is a really important lesson and what better way than to save the pennies they earn? The great thing about this money box is that it actually counts what you put in and displays the total on it’s front!… Read More

How is it November the 06th already? Time to get a move on! So, I have given you alternative Xmas Calendars for the ladies and Alternative Xmas calendars for the gents. Today, I bring you the alternative Xmas calendars for the kids! Last year we bought Finlay his first luxury advent calendar and I was blown away. It really was amazing and a great price. Finlay loved the fact that he had a little xmas toy to open each day on the countdown to Christmas. Not only that, but as the days went on, he created a fantastic little xmas scene. I have been a bit slow this year and I haven’t actually bought him one yet, hopefully this guide can help us all decide which ones to purchase. So here are my favourites for 2017!
A few days ago I posted my Alternative Advent Calendars for the ladies. Today it’s the gents turn! I think sometimes they can get a bit left out. Especially as a lot of the alternative calendars in recent years have been aimed at Women and Kids (find my Kids recommendations, here), I mean most men wouldn’t want to open up a luxury beauty product on the run up to Christmas, would they! Fear not my masculine friends I have scoured the internet and have compiled some of the best Alternative Advent Calendars for him!
One for the Gym Fanatic, 24 festive, high protein chocolate balls. Made from delicious cocoa Butter and Whey Protein Isolate. There are no nasty artificial sweeteners either so rest assured this calendar will help keep your guys festive training on track!
Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without an advent calendar, but recently the tides have changed. Gone are the days of weird tasting cheap chocolate. Hello to calendars full of premium chocolates, alcoholic tipples, jewels, luxury beauty products and much much more! There are so many alternate advent calendars now available, you can really spoil yourself or a loved one. I have found 11 of the best Alternate 2017 Xmas calendars for us girls. (Here are my recommendations for him). Either spoil yourself or leave a big fat hint for your other half, here’s what I’ve found!
ALDI is offering us 24 mini bottles of Wine in Red, White and Rose from prestigious regions around the world, there’s even a couple of suprise bottles of sparkles in there too somewhere! Christmas is my absolute favourite time of the year, I am so excited it’s almost here! I always try my hardest to make Christmas as magical as possible for Finlay, I mean they don’t stay little for very long at all nowadays. So it’s really important for me to keep the magic alive for as long as I possibly can.
One of the traditions we will be keeping up with this year and one I truly love is ‘Letters from Santa’. It’s a great way to bring the magic of Christmas into your home, literally by dropping onto your doormat all the way from the North Pole! Magic Santa Letter create beautiful, high quality, personalised, Santa letters that are delivered to your door. When Magic Santa Letter offered me the chance to review one of their fully personalised letters and I jumped at the chance!
Magic Santa Letter have three different letters available, Babies 1st Christmas, Magic Santa letter and ‘Truly Magical’ Santa letter.… Read More
I didn’t did I? I didn’t just mention the ‘C’ word? Blame writer’s block. Today is day 4 of Blogtober and today’s theme is Date. I couldn’t really think of a significant date that I haven’t already talked about in one respect or another. I haven’t got many date stories that spring to mind. Mine and Chris’s first date went pretty well, lol, we’re still together. However we just talked and got along, he was handsome, I was pretty (er) and the rest is pretty much history!
So I was racking my brain and I thought ‘How many days until Xmas?’. Bam! So I thought I would update you all with how many days we have left until the big day. 82! That really isn’t that many, chop chop! And what we have to worry about before them, so here are some all important dates for your Diary!
It’s that time of year and I am getting all gooey and Christmassy. I can feel it in the air and it makes me very excited. I’m going to be running a few post over the next few weeks relating to Christmas traditions. There is after all only 6 weeks to go!! I am kicking off with this post dedicated to the wonderful Dickensian Evening.
I have said on a few occasions that I feel lucky Living on the south coast for a number of reasons. One of those relates to Christmas and Dickensian Evening. In East Sussex, we are surrounded by many quaint little villages nestled into the South Downs and one of those villages is Alfriston. Luckily for me and the rest of Sussex, Alfiston holds the wonderful Dickensian evening every year just before Christmas, giving the place a great festive feel.
Although Alfriston is a little village it is warm and welcoming with a great community spirit.… Read More
Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year is almost upon us! The Black Friday tradition first began way back in 1932 in America. It remained something of an American tradition until it made it’s way over to the UK in 2013. Black Friday is a day when Savvy shoppers can grab amazing bargains and take advantage of huge savings from shops and retail outlets instore and online. For 2017, Black Friday falls on Friday 24th November, but some bargains are already doing the rounds!
I love a bargain and have picked up some great Black Friday deals for xmas over the past few years. I often find the best ones on the Black Friday page of HUKD. Those who have read my Money saving tips will know HUKD is one of my favourite savvy shopping sites. So imagine the huge grin on my face when I opened an email from them asking if I would like to share their top Black Friday tips with my readers!… Read More
