Finlay made me a mummy. Even though he is probably the naughtiest little boy I know he is so full of character and love. He has a wild spirit and not a day goes by that he doesn’t get into some sort of trouble. It doesn’t matter how naughty he has been though, every night before I go to bed I give him a goodnight kiss, watching him sleeping so peacefully makes my heart melt.… Read More
Every baby needs at least one Lamaze toy, its a right of passage. If your an established parent, then you probably know of Lamaze. If your a new parent, then this will not be the first and last time you hear of them. Lamaze is a fantastic toy brand that produces energetic and fun learning toys for children 0 – 24 months. So I was really please when Lamaze got in contact recently to ask if we wanted to review a couple of toys that are new for 2017, I didn’t hesitate in saying yes!

This page is a brief Gestational Diabetes Overview. I decided to put it together to help newly diagnosed mums make sense of their diagnosis, after my own diagnosis and initial struggle to find helpful advice. As well as a Gestational Diabetes overview, I also offer some advice how you can help yourself manage your Diabetes and quash a few misconceptions associated with it too!
Gestational Diabetes will affect around 5% of UK pregnancies. Once diagnosed there are so many misconceptions within society, these women end up feeling guilty. Thinking somehow, they have caused it to themselves. Support from the NHS OK, but hindered by offering advice based upon Type 2 Diabetes (a low fat diet due to the link with obesity). Gestational Diabetes, is hormone driven. Most women will struggle to follow type 2 dietary advice, due to the fluctuations of their hormone levels during pregnancy.

I have to admit I am a bit of a sucker for a good bib and Zippy do a good bib! I remember using Zippy Bibs when Finlay was a baby and was always impressed by their quality. So I was very excited when Nicole, the founder got in contact and asked if I wanted to review some bibs. I didn’t hesitate. Zippy was founded 5 years ago by Nicole, a mother herself who wanted to make useful baby products for mums designed by mums. Today Zippy sell a number of different types of bibs, clothing, muslins, swaddles and blankets. Zippy products are in fact so useful and well designed, they have won a number of awards!
Zippy bibs come in a huge variety of designs for boys, girls and unisex.… Read More
