I didn’t did I? I didn’t just mention the ‘C’ word? Blame writer’s block. Today is day 4 of Blogtober and today’s theme is Date. I couldn’t really think of a significant date that I haven’t already talked about in one respect or another. I haven’t got many date stories that spring to mind. Mine and Chris’s first date went pretty well, lol, we’re still together. However we just talked and got along, he was handsome, I was pretty (er) and the rest is pretty much history!
So I was racking my brain and I thought ‘How many days until Xmas?’. Bam! So I thought I would update you all with how many days we have left until the big day. 82! That really isn’t that many, chop chop! And what we have to worry about before them, so here are some all important dates for your Diary!
04th October: 82 Days left until Xmas Day
29th October: British Summer Time end. Move those clocks back 1 hr at 2am and enjoy an extra hour in bed!
31st October: Its Halloween. Grab a costume and enjoy some spooky fun!
05th November: Bonfire Night. Remembering that naughty Guy Fawkes and how he tried to blow up the houses of parliment. Fireworks aplenty!
11th November: Armistice Day. Commemorates the signing of the armistice between the Allies and Germany at 11am on 11 November 1918 – the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. Pause for 2 minutes Silence at 11am.
12th November: Remembrance Sunday. The Queen lead the memorials and laying of poppy wreaths at the Cenotaph in London.
24th November: Black Friday. marking the unofficial beginning of the Christmas shopping season. Loads of shops offer the best discounts on this day.
27th November: Cyber Monday. Bag your best shopping deals online today!
03rd December: Advent Sunday. The official start of advent and officially when your tree and decorations go up!
20th December: Royal Mail last postage. 2nd Class and 2nd class signed.
21st December: Royal Mail last postage. 1st Class, 1st Class signed and Special Delivery Guarenteed.
22nd December: Royal Mail last postage. Special Delivery Guarenteed – Saturday Delivery.
24th December: Christmas Eve. Midnight Mass is celebrated on Christmas Eve, traditionally at midnight, in commemoration of Jesus’s birth. Santa is also on his way!
25th December: Christmas Day – You made it!
So there we have it! Are you ready for Xmas? I’m not quite there. I have got a few things in order. Two presents have been bought. This has made me realise though there really isn’t that long left!! Is there anything I have missed?
