‘I wrote to the zoo, to send me a pet’ says the first line of Rod Campbells best selling lift flap book, ‘Dear Zoo‘. The story of a child who writes to the zoo asking them to send a pet. First published in 1982, and selling more than 8 million copies worldwide. I would say it’s no wonder most parents are familiar with this line! I would say it’s a right of passage for babies and toddlers to read. I’m hereby delighted to announce that Dear Zoo Live is back in 2019. Including a visit to the Devonshire Park Theatre in Eastbourne!

Dear Zoo Live on Stage Eastbourne

Dear Zoo Live Tour

Adapted from author Rod Campbell’s best-selling lift-the-flap book, family favourite Dear Zoo Live will be energetically recreated on various dates between Feburary and June 2019.

Dear Zoo Live

Full of energy, the 55 minute performance (with no interval) is perfect for little ones aged 2-6 years old. It is mesmerizingly brought to life through child-engaging puppets, original music and lots of audience interaction. This stage version will immediately appeal to families and children who already love the book and will serve as a wonderful introduction to those coming to the story for the first time.

  1. I can remember being read Dear zoo when I was little and both my boys love the book too. They would love to see this show but I just checked the tour dates and it’s not coming local to us which is a shame. It sounds like a great fun show xx
